Amtrak 200 and 201

1. AMTK 200, The James Whitcomb Riley power from Newpot News, Charlottesville, VA on August 8, 1972.  200 was an E8A and ex-B&O 1439.

2. and 3. AMTK 200 with The James Whitcomb Riley at Main Street Station, Richmond, VA on August 8, 1972.

4. AMTK F40PH 201 at South Station, Boston, MA on June 25, 1983.

5. AMTK F40PH 201 with Train 347, The Illinois Zephyr, Lisle, IL on May 13, 1991.

Thanks once again Marty for sharing Roger's photos and yours, they are all great.  The E-8 #200 as you say was an ex-B&O passenger unit and to the best of my knowledge, it spent most of its Amtrak years pulling passenger trains on both the B&O and C&O lines, eventually it was retired and scrapped.

I'm am very careful to credit Roger or Rick for their photos.  If I don't credit one of them, as in this case, the photos are mine.

Nice shots! Old C&O operating crews on the James Whitcomb Riley were based out of Rchmond, VA and worked betweenrichmond and Newport New, VA
