Must have been Monday morning!  The clothes of the three fellows on the left look too clean.  Can't say the same for the guy with the torn knee near the car truck.  No doubt, hard and hot work in those days.  Thanks Flynn again for the posting!!

I think the gentleman on far left is always clean, wearing a bowler. And probably is Monday since no one smiling except young fellow far right.

In 1890, there is a good chance that our concept of Monday ws unknown. It was probably Just Another Workday. (A day off was high on the list of the initial goals of some of the railroad unions.)

It looks like there may have been some pre-civil War seniority dates in that group.
