See anybody you recognize among these railfans on the rear of UP 810's tender?

March 26, 1939, R. H. Kindig Photo, Dave England Collection.

Dave and Kindig took a couple railfan trips together, but this is a little early to be one of those.

That was standard dress procedure for back then.  Look at photos of baseball games from that era.  Suits, ties and hats.
We talked my Dad into going on a  busman's holiday 4960 trip out of St. Louis in 60-61 and he wore slacks, sport coat, tie and hat.  That's how they grew up.

This was one of the very first outings of the new "Rocky Mountain Railroad Club".  This is at the Denver Shops.

The guy in the front row, third from the left, is wearing a sweater that looks like something my dear deceased mother would have gotten me, which would have made me the target of some abuse if I had worn it to school! Yikes!!!
