Some More Amtrak Odds and Ends
Author: MartyBernard

1. AMTK E60CP 951 at Ivy City Terminal, Washington, DC on July 28, 1978.

2. and 3. AMTK AEM7 952 at Elizabeth, NJ on June 20, 1993.

4. AMTK 4316 with the Broadway Limited, 12th St., Chicago, IL on October 14, 1972.  The E8A was ex-PC 4616, nee PRR 5716.

5. AMTK Cab Car 9631 on San Diegan 576 approaching Santa Fe Station in San Diego, CA on September 10, 1988.  Looks like a crew member had to get down and throw a spring switch.

Enjoy,
Marty Bernard

On the Pennsyvania freight warehouse, it says "Inbound Freight" on the end of those track tunnels.
I never noticed that before.

Great Shots,  three of which have a question attached:  #1  engine 951, is that a standard width door, gosh that looks very narrow to accommodate some of the wide
engineers I've seen on TO.  #4 The freight tunnel: Is the concrete bridge going over the tracks a vehicular bridge?  And the tunnel is that a double deck tunnel with
perhaps outbound freight on the lower level OR for vehicles to enter upper tunnel if that is on a STREET level?  #5: Is 9631 a converted Metroliner?
Thanks  for the thought--provoking scenes.

The 9631 Cabcar like all others in it's class, were considered to be like Amfleet II cars , and thus, It had a Amfleet II Wheel Decellostat.

In a later time as seen here , In the Former North Yard at 8th Street in LA, Ca is the 9631, getting ready to be sent to a Back Shop
