The overcast doesn't overshadow the variety of power on this train @ Cheyenne on Jan. 16, 1971. GP30, BN (CB&Q)GP40, SD24, GP20, GP30, GP9B, F3B(?) .... 6 different models out of the 7 units. UP's penchant for often mixing power back then, always brought some surprises.   By Bruce Black

Thanks. Of course, my family moved to Cheyenne in 1972, and 1971 was the last year for the CB&Q run-through power, and UP F-units. Missed it by that much... === === = === JLH
