Minneapolis, Northfield & Southern Baldwin DT6-6-2000 on 4/40/60, by Bruce Black. Although I shot 3 of these centercabs at the MN&S shops, never got any action shots ... but of course Bruce Black did .... but this one needs a location.

I too never got a shot outside the City.  Nice to see one of those big guys out in the countryside.

I don't know where in Minnesota, either, but action shots of those babies are sure rare, especially out in the countryside. It's probably full of suburbia now, like photos of the LA or Denver countryside. === === = === JLH

What an awesome shot, no way it looks anything like that today I bet. Tracks most likely gone and nothing but houses?

While I believe I may have ridden over this track on a railfan excursion, the exact location eludes me. 
I'm thinking it's northbound between Lakeville and Savage.  Hopefully "Larry Doyle" sees this.

I don't recognize the exact location either - probably suburbanized now.  But, I concur with Nick that it's likely south of Savage.

Bruce's notebooks likely have it noted down to the nearest 1/4 mile. I wonder if those paper records will ever show up.

The MN&S Baldwin centercabs were at the diesel shop every time I saw them also. I think this is the first action shot I've seen. Thanks for posting this.
