30 Thursday midwest - intermountain west and east
Author: FT

Really like the GP 30's.
First is by Karl Henkels of CGW 206 at Chicago, 10/6/66. In a few years these bacame CNW 800's.

D&RGW 3018 crests Soldier Summit 12/71. It was a slow slog in the drifts to here from the car. See the exhaust and snow from the cars whipping off her train. By me

SAL 527 leads a GP 18 - two GP 9's and a couple of GP 7's at Baldwin, FL  5/28/67  By me.

Thank you, three great shots! Seaboard photos seem to be few and far between. Quite a contrast between the grimy trucks and underbody and the rest of the Great Western unit. Did they actually wash their power?

All 3 very nice, the Soldier Summit shot is very dramatic with the adverse weather. Great shot! === === = === JLH

Nice shots.Keith.
The CB&Q society has out a publication on GP30's.
The book is $25.00. Way TOO many GP30's,but for
some reason they have been popular recently.
