Here is another way to make a black and white image from a color slide. By setting my Epson 550 scanner for 1.) Film Type Positive and 2.) Image Type 16-bit Grayscale, the scanner converted the image to black and white. Which image do you prefer? I've changed color slides to black and white in various photo editors over the years. It is good to see there is another photo editor which can do this.
