BB: Chinese Red, Katy Red and C&S orange gondola?
Author: valmont

These 2 Bruce Black shots were taken on Jan. 10, 1971 ... power was C&S 892, MKT 66A, 79A and C&S 876. That C&S gondola sure doesn't look Chinese Red ...
Know the location? Bruce did ...

Great views!  Too bad he didn't shoot the covered hopper too.

your first location is correct, this is at the Buckeye Road crossing, just south of the power plant

FTC? For those not familiar with the area, can you be more specific, like the city? And the state wouldn't hurt either, though assumed CO.

Fort Collins, Co.
Rawhide Power Plant.
iirc, Buckeye rd is one of the last off ramps on I-25 before Wyoming, although it seems like 15 or 20 miles between off ramps along there. North of Wellington and the Budweiser plant, at one point there's a siding right next to I-25 (Owl Canyon siding but not really near the power plant or a Canyon) and then the route goes on the west side of some hills, then the route is visible from the hiway at the stateline.

+ fixed two errors, anymore?
