Soo Line 775 - a lot can change in 20 years
Author: FT

Sept. 8, 1992 at Shorham,MN I was interested in the words on the cab "Proud to be a part of CP RAIL SYSTEM" . Twenty years later, Sept 21,2012, I came across the 775 at Fordville, ND, on the Northern Plains Ry. Don't know if it was a parts unit, or going to be
rebuilt, but the difference was dramatic. Change can be unsettling, but inevitable.

Yeah Keith, it's ironic how a locomotive can be the star of the show in its prime only to become a derelict in the end, as you say here, 20 years later.  I've run that thought thru my mind many times over the years as I've seen new showroom fresh locos go thru this process.

Looks like it's not equipped with dynamic brakes...  ;-)
