to number of these locos? I have a pictures of a couple of Southern E units that also displayed the small letters. Just wondering. There was a mathematical formula for determining which of several letters went with a particular road number (the letters were not ramdomly assigned). If someone entered an engine number incorrectly the computer would recognize it.
