Lone Star at Cleburne,Tx -- March 76

(1)  While waiting for the Lone Star, F cab units were still around at the Santa Fe shops. 
The CF7 conversion program was still going strong at the time.

(2)  Among the old buildings at the shops was this wood foundation.
I always wondered what it was - an old water tank or something else?

I was by there in October and most of what is shown in
your pictues is gone and the shop closed.
Home of the "BEEP" and CF7's.

Neat shots!  Rode the Texas Chief and later the Lone Star many times between Temple TX and Newton KS and back.
