And here is a photo I caught of the GM&O local southbound in Joliet approaching UD tower and about to cross teh Rock Island.
I have always been fascinated with the GM&O's amazing Alco fleet of locomotives. Here is the RS-1 battling the pull up on the elevation headed toward their South Joliet yard.

I love the sand flying and the pole hanging on the side of the RS-1.
