Date: 01/16/17 06:50 Re: BN E's Author: thebluecomet Since I was traveling cross-country by train, my photos options were limited. A very worthwhile trip out to Highlands station on May 1, 1979 netted these images. Note the muddy spots on the eastbound track. BN also co-operated by running several freights through here during my 2 hour stay. More on them later.

Note the cigarette ads. Date: 01/16/17 13:03 Re: BN E's Author: thebluecomet The first two photos were taken in 1976, the third in 1979, they were probably added between that time frame
Date: 01/16/17 16:43 Re: BN E's Author: mp51w The natural platform light filtering in on the nose of those engines just made for a great photo!
I should have taken more photos of those engines, but as usual, you think they will be there forever! Date: 01/16/17 20:45 Re: BN E's Author: wpjones 9919 in your last photo became BN3 which is now at IRM
Steve Date: 01/17/17 19:50 Re: BN E's Author: TomPlatten Judging from the condition of OERM's UP #942 (Metra # was 520--I think), by the time all of those E units were pullled from service, they had been "rode hard and put way wet".
