Interesting that you would point out the "ore hoppers."

If you go south, far enough you will find "rock hoppers."  They are black & white and look like nuns with whiskers

Think it's the frontage rd. I-25 should be behind him.

I like this image.  Here's a google maps streetview image from the NB side of I-25, just a bit north of Chugwater.  Doesn't look much different.....
