Site of my first trackside train watching, circa 1972/3.  All RDC cars, and they would fly down that stretch of track.

Sad to see that is all that is left. At one time the Reading (Atlantic City RR) and the PRR (West Jersey & Seashore RR) paralleled one another a block apart through Ocean City. Also had the Shore Fast Line (trolley line - former Atlantic City and Shore) come in from the north on a long trestle over Great Egg Harbor Bay until the trestle burned. A lot of action in that area and South Jersey at one time. Some world speed records set in South Jersey in the early 1900s as well.
