I'd forgotten that The Grande had purchased some add'l six axle power after the T-2s. Were these SD50s or SD60s? I never could tell the difference. I'm sure they're long off the UP roster. How many did The Grande have and what happened to them? Thanks.

     They were SD50s, DRGW never got any SD60s.

Think the Southwestern still has one in UP paint.

These SD50's lived an interesting life.   They were first bought for Rocky Mountain coal service, and proved well there.   Once the SP merger hit, they eventually migrated to California, where they were set up for helper service over Tehachapi.   They spent most of the early and mid-90's there, with several getting gray and red paint.   After such demandings chores and after the UP merger, they were tired and found on lesser manifest freights across the UP system until retirement.
