Fifty Years Ago - ERIE 518

ERIE 518 sits at the EL's McCoy Street enginehouse in Akron, Ohio in January 1967. Today the walkbridge, ERIE, EL yard, etc. are gone.

It didn't stray far from the engine house for fear that the brass would notice and have it re-painted.

I believe it was the 520 that had that distinction.

The 518 is the unit still on display at Meadville, as was subtly referenced in the caption to the first post
