Nostalgia & History > some low-light attempts, NS CR 1996

I tried to make these palatable. They ended up a little grainy here and there.

1. NS 548 smokes it up west at Shinrock, OH, late on Sunday 4/21/96, with Conrail 5073 - 5060.

2. NS 146 with 8720 - CR 5074 at E. Avery, OH, on 3/30/96.

3. "Canadian" Cab 555076 brings up the rear of 146, with a colorful block of pigs. At least the afternoon clouds parted for a moment. The train had 378 axles by the detector.

4. Conrail BUEL-0 departs Fairlane Yard (OH) at 8:04pm, 4/20/96. The signals at CP216 glow in the background.

5.The power reaches my location at Sunnyside Rd. The 6229 kept dying on them. Second unit is a CNW SD40. They had added GP38 7714 at Fairlane to protect.

6. NS 206 on the west side of Lorain, OH on 3/16/96. Power is 1618 - 8025. Partly-frozen Lake Erie in the background. I only adjusted the color a little. It worked better as an artsy shot, than to try to make it look realistic.
