Well, okay, not really round.
In my 1974 wanderings I somehow found myself in Prince Rupert, BC.  I liked it and decided to stay awhile.  So I hired out with the City of PR on a work crew fixing pot holes, paving streets, etc in the rain.  I didn't have a work visa, so I invented an alias:  for that summer I was Steve Christy from Edmonton, Alberta.

I've never been to Edmonton.  Is it nice?

Good thing you did that before Trump builds the wall...Canada,right? Also lucky you didn't get caught,I saw that movie Midnight Express,those foreign jails were horrendous!    Canada,right?

Great photo of a bygone era!

Edmonton is nice outside of the winter months, which stretch from October - April. 

Actually, I WAS arrested by the RCMP's  (bucket list bragging rights!)  in Prince Rupert and held for an afternoon.  The cell wasn't that bad and the screws were nice enough.  But a strip search is creepy on either side of the border!

Good question. Interesting.
If I recall, there was a wye at the west end of town beyond the shops and depot (Seal Cove?) so it's entirely possible there never was a turntable.

The wye was still there as of my visit to PR in 2015.  Our motel was close to it, found it exploring around town (trying to find access to photograph trains).
