Call the Fire Dept.!!
Author: WichitaJct

Looks like the Santa Fe had some problems with a CF7 that required assistance of the fire brigade. 2703 and 2684 came to help too. Wichita (Ks.) February 15, 1976. Allan Ramsey photo. Does anyone know why my scanner adds that green stripe? Thanks.

Try cleaning the glass.

Are these the tracks that run North/South through downtown Wichita? I spent two weeks there a while back, looked like there was a railroad museum on one of the overpasses. A Santa Fe steam loco and an FP45 are what I remember seeing.

Yes, that's the Great Plains Transportation Museum. Their collection includes Santa Fe steam engine 3751 and Santa Fe FP45 93.

I cleaned up your pic a bit.   I suspect your glass needs to be blown off/cleaned on your scanner.

Not the glass, mine does that on and off as well, seems to be no rhyme or reason, sometimes it's a smaller red line? Nice blast from the past.

One of the colors in one of the sensors has gone bad.  See if you can move the photo to antoher portion of the glass to avoid the line (turn it 90 degress if necessary).  From my experience it is often an intermitent problem that will come and go.  The only real fix is to buy a new scanner.

Well,I dunno, it's some Santa Fe 4-8-4. I could have the number wrong, so let's just say they have a  Santa Fe 4-8-4.

I had that problem scanning slides on an Epson flatbed scanner. I bought a slide scanner, no more problems.
