Nostalgia & History > AT&SF: DL600 & RSD5 in zebra stripe and DL600 blue & yellowDate: 02/19/17 14:38 AT&SF: DL600 & RSD5 in zebra stripe and DL600 blue & yellow Author: valmont Don't have a date or location but I believe this is an Ed Fulcomer shot (wrong!) .... unit #'s are 608, 2144 & 607
Got confirmation from Ed last night ....it's not his shot but he wishes it was! Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 02/20/17 05:18 by valmont. Date: 02/19/17 14:42 Re: AT&SF: DL600 & RSD5 in zebra stripe and DL600 blue & yellow Author: KansasRailHead Wow

That looks to me like the south end of the yard in Raton, NM. Zach Green Parker, CO Posted from Android Date: 02/19/17 14:57 Re: AT&SF: DL600 & RSD5 in zebra stripe and DL600 blue & yellow Author: 3rdswitch Good guess Zach, could be but with no mountains visible I'm going with Barstow?

Date: 02/19/17 19:24 Re: AT&SF: DL600 & RSD5 in zebra stripe and DL600 blue & yellow Author: CPW548 If you look at the left and right sides of the locomotives you can see mountains in the distance, like one would expect at Raton. Given that Valmont thinks it's a Fulcomer shot, I'm sticking with Raton.

photo are well in the distance and seemto fit La Junta as a location. Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA Date: 02/20/17 10:13 Re: AT&SF: DL600 & RSD5 in zebra stripe and DL600 blue & yellow Author: SD45X Not Lajunta. Can't see the mountains from this angle. Yard is east west. However, you can at Raton. East towards Des Moines the hills roll up. And all that spilled coal on the ground would be more common at Raton.
