Don't have a date or location but I believe this is an Ed Fulcomer shot (wrong!) .... unit #'s are 608, 2144 & 607

Got confirmation from Ed last night ....it's not his shot but he wishes it was!

Valmont,

That looks to me like the south end of the yard in Raton, NM.

Good guess Zach, could be but with no mountains visible I'm going with Barstow?

Looks more like the West end of La Junta.

If you look at the left and right sides of the locomotives you can see mountains in the distance, like one would expect at Raton. Given that Valmont thinks it's a Fulcomer shot, I'm sticking with Raton.

Yes, could be looking to the southeast at Raton.

Great catch by Ed. If you look real close to the right, you can just make out another zebra-striped RSD5 behind that trailing RSD7.

I like La Junta as the location, although Raton is a good guess.  The "mountains" in the
photo are well in the distance and seemto fit La Junta as a location.

Not Lajunta. Can't see the mountains from this angle. Yard is east west. However, you can at Raton. East towards Des Moines the hills roll up. And all that spilled coal on the ground would be more common at Raton.
