Chain mail underwear! Date: 02/22/17 20:40 Re: SP white helmets at Mott, Ca. Author: MojaveBill If it was with DJR you needed a Stetson, a former SP official who rode with him told me when we were at FRA in the early '80s...

Author: LocoPilot750 At Newton, KS, the Road Foreman of Engines, Charlie Garrison gets up on the engine wearing a white hard hat, something we'd never seen him wear before. My engineer, Steve Mallon says, "Where'd you get that hat, at a Tupperware party ". After that, we never saw him wear it again.

I could have used a white helmet once while standing on the back of the business car behind a long auto rack train on the Sunset route as it the train came to a stop.....I decided to go back inside the car and and learned about slack when I planted my face on the back door window....... |
