The Tehachapi water tank is a standard SP 65,000-gallon steel water tank.  Plans for a standard 65,000-gallon steel water tank can be found on pg. 48 and pg. 50 of Bruce Petty's/Steam Age Equipment Co's. "Southern Pacific Lines Common Standard Plans, Vol. 1."  Photocopies can probably be obtained from the Calif. State RR Museum Library.  The Tehachapi tank may be taller than the one in Steam Age Equipment Co's. publication, though.
