KCS F units - working up the hill in Texas -- Nov 81

6 KCS F units (with a couple slugs) roll west between Pittsburg and Sulphur Springs in NE Texas
Bringing empty coal cars from the interchange with the electrified power plant line just west of Pittsburg - headed to the coal mine near Sulphur Springs. The units will tie up at the station in Sulphur Springs.
This is a rescan.

Had some of these units been converted to slugs when they were in this service?

There were two B units in the consist that were slugs.
Later,KCS converted some cab units.

With any other units the sag in the middle would have made the photo interesting, but this is doubly eyecatching.
