Lake Tahoe was my home back when these were taken (in fact, I got married there the month these were taken), and it sure is nice to see photos of the stuff and locales I remember from that time. On the other hand, there was/is a "Yuba Pass", which is frequently confused with the Yuba Pass on USGS maps (and quite a ways north of the Donner line).

When I was in Truckee, I could get to Glsnshire Drive using a map. If I'd have tried to get to the railroad location of Polaris, I might never have found it. The I-80 off-ramp to "Yuba Pass" is Yuba Gap. Worked every time. Elizabeth- |
