#1 & 2 looking like a westbound near the Boca Dam, #3 looks like Eastbouond near Yuba Gap...

#s 1 and 2 are from the same spot on Glenshire Drive as the coil steel train photos posted yesterday.  #s 3 and 4 are most definitely Yuba Gap.

Thanks for posting all these Marty. Lake Tahoe was my home back when these were taken (in fact, I got married there the month these were taken), and it sure is nice to see photos of the stuff and locales I remember from that time.

No such place as "Yuba Gap" and never has been on the CP, SP, nor UP. On the other hand, there was/is a "Yuba Pass", which is frequently confused with the Yuba Pass on USGS maps (and quite a ways north of the Donner line).

Marty, thanks for sharing this COOL quartet.  One and two are of an eastbound at Glenshire Dr.  Three and four are of an eastbound at Yuba Pass.

When I was in Truckee, I could get to Glsnshire Drive using a map.  If I'd have tried to get to the railroad location of Polaris, I might never have found it.  The I-80 off-ramp to
"Yuba Pass" is Yuba Gap.  Worked every time.
