Wish we had a "like" button on here.  Another great look at steam on the SP.  Look at those little drivers go.

​Now here's a question for ya' Don; since the SD&AE 105 didn't have a train and its brakes available to retard the speed on this fairly heavy descending
​grade back to Colton, how did the engineer keep from overheating the drivers and risk slipping a tire?
Having never run a steam engine; was there a way to put steam into the cylinders to give some sort of 'back pressure'? You know, inquiring minds and such.
