SP 4177 West leaving Colton.
SP 4402 & 2538  & caboose being added to another eastbound & helping it  up Beaumont Hill.
SP 2538 helping another AC  up Beaumont Hill.
Oct. 18,1954
SP 4437 East cuts  off and heads to the RH.
(8mm film by Barney Root).

Seeing and hearing steam scenes like these as a boy were wonderful. Now they're great again and even better since I can see the detail that never lodged in my old memory.
