When the original "Zephyr" finished its nationwide tour, it was assigned to run from Lincoln to Omaha and Kansas City each day back in the mid 1930's. My Grandpas was one of the men who serviced and maintained this train (and the UP M-10000) during their layovers at Kansas City Union Station...
