Nostalgia & History > Key System Transit-- "Olden Times---Modern Times"Date: 03/23/17 19:04 Key System Transit-- "Olden Times---Modern Times" Author: KeyRouteKen Hey Everybody--
Check out this kinda faded shot of the Key System transbay "C"-Line near Grand Avenue and the 'Pleasant Valley' Station, using two center-door steel cars, one of which is KEY # 684. (regular service) Then in the second photo, we have KEY # 187 taking a bunch of commuters to work in San Francisco back in 1953. Naught ! Just kidding ! KEY # 187 (the last Unit ever built) makes a run on the Sacramento Northern mainline at the Western Railway Museum at Rio Vista Junction, CA. Kind of looks like a bunch of commuters, huh ? Great shot. One place I wish I had visited when I toured the west coast. Posted from Android |
