One more from Oakland.  An SP SW8 pulls the recently arrived Amtrak No. 5 from in front of the Oakland station.

Don't recall whether they still pulled Amtrak
trains thru the wash rack then.

About 1975, the power stayed on the the entire train wyed and shoved back through the washers into the coach yard

Could be. Only pic I have was around 1971,
with an Alco switcher pulling it thru the rack.
