1991 - A typical day at the Santa Fe in Richmond CA

Feb. 17, 1991:  A typical day at the Richmond locomotive servicing facilities, back in the days when you could ask the employees if you could take some pictures, and they would say "OK, just don't climb on the equipment".

Here's me in 1991.  I sure don't look like this now!

Nice stuff, especially the 'general scene' shots! I learned a long time ago to take these kinds of shots. It's amazing how fast routine scenes (such at a roundhouse) can be altered permanently; in tiny, unnoticed increments...

Nice shots Eric, Richmond still looks the same, well, kinda.  I have a photo of myself on the 100 down in Warm Springs, I should find it.
Great shots, ATSF lives!

Great set of photos from a year when most of the ATSF locos had small US flags in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm to liberate Kuwait later that month.

Thanks for posting. I enjoyed seeing all of the power.

Was that a Sunday? Looks like the power distributor was a bit lax in digging out the excess power and sending it to where it could do some good.
