Here are three images from Joliet, Illinois in the early 1970's when railfans were able to cross tracks and photograph from a greater variety of locations than today.
Image one: Milwaukee E-units on Amtrak and AT&SF F-units on Amtrak (in the background) were photographed on April 2, 1972.
Image two:AT&SF 2651 was taken on August 6, 1972.
Image three: AT&SF 5948 leads a TOFC train approaching the AT&SF/RI diamonds in April 1973.

Great trio, that 2651 brings back memories of riding that unit as a kid in Torrance, CA assigned to one of the road swithcers there.
