During my early railfaning years I spent a lot of time at Tehachapi. It was always a treat to get an SD9 on the point of a train as seen in this photo taken in 1972. Bruce Petty photo

Is that the west end of Woodford? Not too many railfans bother to hike down there to take pictures.

Nice shot. I miss SD9's.

Yeah, you're liable to get shot nowadays if you do, what with the Farm Workers Union headquarters (or whatever it is) back there. They don't exactly have a friendly attitude toward trespassers.

That sucks, I was over there back in 95 and 96 and got some good shots of it on the horseshoe curve over there, that's actually a nice place to hang out if you could get there legaly!
