Nostalgia & History > Colors of early BNDate: 11/28/04 12:44 Colors of early BN Author: FT Interesting how the green is now one of the "lost colors" along with
all these GE's. This is at the Denver shops 6-'71. Keith A Date: 11/28/04 17:32 Re: Colors of early BN Author: bnsfsd70 Great Shot! Love it!!! Jeff

Date: 11/29/04 19:30 Re: Colors of early BN Author: espeeboy Ahhh man, what a great shot! Talk about a sign of things to come in regards to the post-BNSF merger years (today). Really, that red Burlington unit could represent a Warbonnet Santa Fe today, the cascade BN unit obviously represents the BN as still seen today and is that GN U-boat not a perfect Pumpkin premonition of all of the ugly BNSF orange and green units we see roaming around the system today?!?
Great shot, indeed history does repeat itself... I've road both the older U-boats on locals and I have one of the number boards off the 5732 just before it was scrapped.
