Wondering if the trackage is gone or if it was absprbed by a Class I(as they like to call themselves, altho sometimes I doubt it).

Gone by the late 1980's, IIRC. The Howard Terminal port facility is still there and in use, but the railroad is long gone.

The Howard Terminal in the Port of Oakland was updated within the last year and is now leased to the Matson Ship Line as their container terminal. This facility can be seen from the same web camera at the Port as the one that shows the street running line through Jack London Square to the Oakland Amtrak Station.
