Nostalgia & History > Oakway SD-60's on BNDate: 04/15/05 04:11 Oakway SD-60's on BN Author: gg1tim From one of my trips to Colo. & Wyo in the late 1980's is a solid lashup of Oakway SD-60's led by # 9006 at Bill, Wyo.on 07-26-87 with an SDEX coal train.
Date: 04/15/05 04:13 Re: Oakway SD-60's on BN Author: gg1tim Here is another solid set of Oakway's outside of Denver, Colo. led by # 9024 on 06-03-88. It was sure nice to see solid sets of these units at the time I was there.
Date: 04/15/05 04:17 Re: Oakway SD-60's on BN Author: gg1tim Finally here is another pure set of Oakways passing thru Glendo, Wyo with the 9045 being the trailing unit of a SDEX coal train on 07-26-87. I wonder how many of these Oakway's still are in service and if they have their EMD colors....

And yes, they still retain their original paint schemmes. I see them through Longmont, CO quite a bit and we currently have one on the local that goes back and forth to Cheyenne.
Nice pics, thanks for sharing. Joel Date: 04/15/05 07:17 Re: Oakway SD-60's on BN Author: wabash2800 I always liked that paint scheme.

mark Date: 04/15/05 14:05 Re: Oakway SD-60's on BN Author: jcnienow "Oakway" was the leasing subdivision of EMD. GM had several "corporations" for handling
various sub-functions. At one point they had Argonaut Realty, the owner of all their buildings.
