Nostalgia & History > a few from the HarborDate: 05/22/05 13:48 a few from the Harbor Author: 3rdswitch Starting FORTY years ago, in the mid '60's, when the "Wilmington Turn" made a round trip from San Bernardino to Watson and return daily, the afternoon version is setting out a fresh switch engine at ALCOA for one of the Torrance switch jobs. At various times there were 1st, 2nd, and even 3rd "Wilmington Turns" in the '60's and '70's. This is also back when there were depots and jobs that went to work at Ingelwood, El Segundo, Torrance and Wilmington.
