Martin Date: 07/03/05 15:40 Re: Milwaukee Road Author: lee_uintah Yes, it's actually Wauwatosa, just a few blocks south of the dividing line between Wauwatosa and Milwaukee proper. It was "home" to me - I lived a few blocks north of the dividing line, and could hear the trains passing Hoyt park all the time.
Date: 07/03/05 15:50 Re: Milwaukee Road Author: lee_uintah Here's the westbound Hiawatha passing Hoyt Park in Wauwatosa in August 1953. A few months later I rode this train to Seattle. Terrific ride in observation sleeper at the rear of the train!
