Canadian Railroads > CN diversion traffic on CP, Smiths FallsDate: 12/05/09 19:38 CN diversion traffic on CP, Smiths Falls Author: eminence_grise I recall the reason for CN traffic to be diverting over the CP between Brockville ON. and Toronto in February 1972. A CN freight derailed near Prescott, including dangerous commodities which closed the CN main for a couple of days.
I know there are people on this list who know Smiths Falls ON. What is this train doing, coming off the CP Brockville line, or going onto the CN line to Ottawa? If I'm not mistaken, the photo shows a westbound CN Toronto train coming of CP's Winchester sub to go south to Brockville and rejoin the Kingston sub.
