Canadian Railroads > CN derailment on Northern line to Prince RupertDate: 01/04/11 07:40 CN derailment on Northern line to Prince Rupert Author: spdaylight A CN unit coal train derailed Sunday westbound to Prince Rupert 50 kilometers south of McBride, B.C. on CN's northern mainline from Prince George to Prince Rupert. CN Rail officials are hoping to re-open the line this morning. A total of 33 coal cars left the track around 10:45 PM on Sunday night. There were no injuries and no environmental issues. CN crews remain on scene and the incident is under investigation.
