Canadian Railroads > Bytown Railway Society 50t #10

Good Sunday afternoon, this is our 50t that I spent this summer repainting in a CNR inspired colors and dedictade to two of our society founders.
Got complete about two weeks ago but the weather had not cooperated til today, it is located at the CMST in Ottawa. Ontario

I have to ask, on the control stand...are the bronze plated circuit breaker covers (aka light switch cover plates) something original to the GE locomotive or are they something you picked up down at Home Hardware? :)
On the (much larger) GE locomotives I work with, they all have standard "light switch" circuit breakers in lieu of the EMD's Slide switch circuit breakers...Probably has something to do with GE making all kinds of electronic parts...

That's one clean machine! Looks great!

The light switch covers are brass original from the factory. Our former Minnesota Power GE 45 tonner at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum in Duluth MN is the same inside as pictured.

The one on the left is GE original Cab heater, cab light and then front and rear headlight, the one on the right is a replacement from Home Depot, this is the cut off for the traction motors.
