With the recent migration of CNs ex-Oakways to the West Coast, one in particular has stood out. 5427 (ex-GMTX 9071) still in its blue and white paint has been put into transfer service. During a couple of evenings by the rails my camera managed to capture 5427 in a few different angles.

1). On November 16, 5427, paired with rebuilt and repainted 5406 sit at the north end of Riverbend Drive in Burnaby, BC, after lifting a long string of box cars. They will eventually head through New Westminster to make another lift.

2). At the Dock Yard in New Westminster, four nights later on November 20, the same pair await for their crew to come back from lunch.

3). A side on of view of the cab reveals the only relevant CN lettering. Now we can only hope CN will send another of the blue and white west so we can have them paired up.

Thanks for looking.

Mighty nice. Did these make it out to Lulu Island?

I'm not sure if they have or not, but we will keep an eye out.
