On Friday, March 28, 2014, Canadian National Railway 1501, an RDC-1 converted for use as a track test car, was working on the former Illinois Central Railroad at Matteson, Illinois.

Was this unit completely rebuilt? I can't imagine a lot of parts remaining for the RDC-1s.

The 1501 was built practically from scratch by Gateway Rail Services in Madison, Illinois.
