I am not holding my breath on this one.
Of course I want to see VIA return to Vancouver Island, but there has been too much emphasis on VIA and not enough of increasing freight traffic on the line.
I will believe things are moving forward AFTER the agreements are signed and the long-overdue maintenance is actually under way.

Track problems plague the route of the train to Gaspe as well. No updates there......

Hate to say it but too many millions needed to restore the line with no hope of ridership revenue ever making just bare operating costs . . . . .
