Very interesting photos . . . am curious . . . what would have collided with #575 in first photo that would have done so much damage to the body but didn't seem to even bend the frame(?) The 575 was ultimately retired account the severe damage. The 575 perhaps was a trailing unit and got punched from both ends, the damage and physics in railway accidents can do odd and unusual things. Doug
