Here’s the West Coast Express at Waterfront Station in Vancouver in Dec 2002. This is the former CPR Station that once hosted the Canadian, Dominion and the Kootenay/Kettle Valley Express.

Here’s a Skytrain at Waterfront. The trains are driverless so you can have that big front window and “railfan” seat to yourself.

Nice! Vancouver is such a beautiful city. I went there a month ago, and despite being rainy, it was wonderful. I even attempted to upload a video of the SkyTrain but it said "This video is still being encoded. Please check back in a few minutes" for hours, so I reposted it, but it still didn't work, so I gave up.

Bombardier is now operating this train, replacing CP crews. Five year contract with an option for two further five year contracts.
