Canadian Railroads > CN 102Date: 04/19/14 12:27 CN 102 Author: Ron This left Chicago a few days ago heading to Western Canada.
That's about all I know about it. Other than the first couple photographs made it look pretty bad, but this one now..... I could learn to like it. I found the photographer. It is from Dave Schauer with these comments: Heritage at Kelsey Repainted 102 at South Kelsey on the Missabe Sub. The noodle will take some getting used to but give them a big thumbs up for adopting the heritage colors (the five passenger cars were painted the same color and looked great). Ron Edited 1 time(s). The former BCR North Vancouver yard has been renamed CN McLean yard after a senior CN officer. The business train was going to the dedication and then on to Whistler to celebrate. I note the 102 still has the Maple Leaf emblem on the front. The CN noodle has been CN's trade mark longer than the maple leaf or cracker box symbol. Date: 04/19/14 21:17 Re: CN 102 Author: SOO6617 The train ran an inspection trip down the DW&P and DM&IR. It was rumoured that as a result of the trip the line down Short Line Hill in West Duluth, MN will be double-tracked.

------------------------------------------------------- > Did you take this photo, Ron? No, I did not take either of the two photographs I've shown here. The one of the locomotive alone was making the rounds on Facebook, and it was from Flickr. Spent about 20 minutes digging into Facebook, it was passed from Flickr to Canadian Rail Observations to another group keeping track of CN Family locomotives. The other one has the photographer's name with it. Ron Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/20/14 12:03 by Ron. Still has both 567s and the original control stand! The only thing we have added to it in the cab from what I could tell are a fridge, digital speedometer, alerter, etc.
