CP is planning to install CTC between Pasqua, SK(where the line to the US branches off the CP Transcontinental mainline) and Glenwood, MN in stages over the next few years. CN plans to install and in some sections re-install CTC on the Missabe Sub, basically between Virginia, MN and Duluth, MN. They are also planning to install a second main track on Steelton Hill, which at roughly 2.0% in CN's toughest mainline grade. Steelton Hill is in western Duluth, MN.
