Date: 07/19/14 20:14 Re: CP Locomotives Author: railsmith CP has just ordered another 60 GP20C-ECO units from EMD. These use recycled trucks and traction motors but are on new frames and should be considered new locomotives. This order brings the total of that model to 130.

Jury is out on rebuilding SD40-2's in-kind or doing more SD30C-ECO's. How existing ones make out in the coal pool some are working right now in B.C. might have an effect on that decision. Date: 07/22/14 19:56 Re: CP Locomotives Author: Finderskeepers Not without their warts though, they don't seem to ride well at track speed, and the independent brake is very touchy and can't be feathered like earlier units. The AC is very nice on hot days though.
